Irish Weekend Celebrations - Phoenix Park, Dublin - 11th and 12th August 2007

The Crosslé celebration weekend saw the winning formula continue with Crosslé winning both 50th Anniversary Sports Car Races in the centre of Ireland's Capital.

Arnie Black had pole to flag wins in both the Saturday and Sunday races. The weather did not provide a very dry welcome for the many English visitors attending the Park for the first time for the celebrations.

Practice was very wet and muddy somewhat of a baptism of fire for the visitors but all survived for the race.

The race on Saturday's saw the weather improve slightly and was dry. Arnie was initially pushed very hard by Brian Cullen in his Crosslé 9S until a gearbox problem slowed him, however Arnie could not relax as Lloyd Spendlove in his Lotus saw an opportunity and didn't make life very easy. However in the end Lloyd had to settle for second although posting fastest lap with Richard Abels in third.

Sunday was again a dry race and this time Brian Cullen had handed the reins over to his son Mark who made life every bit as difficult for Arnie who had to work extremely hard to keep Mark in second place. The two Crosslé drivers well ahead of the following field lapped everyone to 8th place and provided quite a spectical for the 50th Anniversary.

A big thank you to all the visitors especially those from the SR&GTs without their support the celebrations would not have been possible.

Special thanks to Mike Walker and Nick Ledger, both Crosslé 9S owners, for their stirling efforts to encourage the drivers from England; and also to Barry Symmons and Lorna who kept everyone fed and 'watered' throughout the weekend.

SPA FRANCHOMPS 16th, 17th and 18th May 2008

Crosslé take first, second and third places at the RMU I hour race meeting held on the famous SPA Francorchamps circuit on 16th, 17th and 18th May 2008.

Congratulations to all three Crosslé drivers, Gwyn Pollard, Mike Walker and Andy Todd who made the long trek to the famous SPA circuit. Gwyn was rewarded with his first race win, no mean feat as, down to his last drop of fuel he fended of a determined Mike Walker who was rewarded with fastest lap. Andy Todd, despite starting from the back of the grid had a storming drive in the 9s to finish third in difficult conditions.

Congratulations to all a fantastic result
